Both of these file types probably do not need any special program to view.
What kind of.PRN file do you mean? In both Lotus 1-2-3 and Excel there are.PRN file types In Lotus it is described as a Formatted Text File In Excel it is a Formatted Text Space Delimited file. This format gets created automatically by the printer drivers when a printing command is given. This format specifies and instructs the printers many controls, like what to print on the page, what the paper size is, which paper tray to use, etc. PRN file format contains instruction sets for printers. Sometimes we don’t know who is the sender. Some of the prn files are corrupt and users can’t access those files until they receive that file from the sender again. The prn files after pdf conversion should be accurate and easily printable. 
So, now that I had a prn file, I needed to find a viewer for it. The prn files should be made as readable as possible, without errors. This is essentially binary data that is understandable only by the printer in question, or in other words, this data (and its format) varies from printer to printer.
The 'print to file' function basically takes a stream dump of everything sent to the printer and saves it to a file.
